These guidelines apply to all publications intended for publication in the Regional Maritime University Journal of African Maritime Affairs (RMUJAMA). Failure to comply with these guidelines may lead to queries, delays, or rejection of submitted manuscripts.
The journal is a multidisciplinary publication on African Maritime Affairs aimed at influencing policy and practice in the Maritime and other industries via theory and in-depth theoretical and applied research and analysis in a global context. The journal also publishes conference details and book reviews relevant to its aims.
1. Manuscript Format
The title of a manuscript should be as succinct as possible. Manuscripts should be written using Microsoft Word with single line spacing (except before each major heading, where double spacing is required) on A4 paper (8.5 x 11). The page limits are 8 to 12 pages (3000–5000 words), which include figures, tables, reference lists, and any other additional material.
Manuscripts must use Times New Roman font, 14-point size for titles, and 12-point size for the main text, including headings. All headings should be in bold letters. Paper margins should be 1 inch (25 mm) on all sides. Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors may use either American or British spelling, but not a combination of both.
2. Author’s Details
Authors should provide their initials, surnames, organizational affiliation, contact address, and email address.
3. Abstract
Manuscripts should include an abstract summarizing the essence of the paper. For original research, briefly state the objective, hypotheses tested, research design, methodology, procedures, tools used, findings/results, and conclusions drawn. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
4. Keywords
Authors must supply three to five keywords or phrases identifying the most important subjects covered by the paper.
5. References/Citations
All references and in-text citations should follow APA 7th style for all articles, except legal articles.

6. Manuscript Submission
